Ziad is the oldest son born in 1974 in Tahwitet El Nahr - Lebanon to Therese Mouawad and Mikhael Akl. He has 1 sister and 2 brothers. Married to Mona Habib Khouri and has 1 daughter and 5 sons.
Political activist and lawyer dedicated to defending the public interest, political reform, safety promotion, environment protection and good governance.
Founder and President of YASA International for Road Safety, Lebanese Geographic Society, Scientific Research Foundation and many other local and international NGOS.
PhD holder, holder with distinction of 6 Master degrees in: Comparative Law, Public Administration, International Affairs and Diplomacy, International Public Law, Civil Law & Safety Promotion.
License in Civil law (Sagesse University) and License in Political and Administrative Sciences (Lebanese University).
Teach Master degree at USJ in Road Safety Management
Published scientific articles and presented oral and poster presentations in International Conferences in more than 40 countries in safety promotion and injury prevention.
